Eskrow is a companion app for trading Pokémon in Pokémon HOME. It helps you catalog your Pokémon, list what you have and want, get matched with other trainers, and chat to arrange a trade. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Eskrow is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, or Game Freak. "Pokémon" and "Pokémon HOME" are trademarks of their respective owners.
This marketing website (eskrow.app) uses third-party analytics and advertising measurement services to count visits, understand where visitors come from (for example a search engine, a link, or one of our ads), and see whether they tap through to the App Store or Google Play. These services may set cookies and collect general device and usage information under a pseudonymous identifier, and they share that activity with the providers, who use it to report on traffic and ad performance. This does not identify you to us by name, and it runs only on this website, never inside the Eskrow app. You can block it with any ad blocker or browser tracking protection, and the site works normally without it.
When you upload a Pokémon HOME screenshot, we send it to an image-safety service to check that the image is not inappropriate, and to an AI processing provider to read the Pokémon details from the image so we can fill in your inventory. Images you send in chat are screened for inappropriate content before they are delivered. When you file a report, the reported message text and a small amount of context may be sent to an AI processing provider to help prioritize moderation. These providers process this data on our behalf to deliver these features.
Your inventory, wishlist, saved friend code, email, and block list are private to your account unless you choose to share or list them.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here:
| Recipient | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Cloud infrastructure providers | Hosting, database, file storage, image screening, and push notifications. |
| AI processing providers | Reading Pokémon details from uploaded screenshots, and prioritizing moderation reports. |
| Other users | Your public profile, active listings, and the messages you send to a trade partner. |
| Legal and safety | When required by law, or to investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, or harm. |
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Some records, such as completed trades, ratings, and moderation reports, are retained for integrity and safety even after a related message or item is removed. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we are required to keep it for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.
We also keep encrypted backups so the service can be recovered after data loss. Information you delete stays in those backups until they expire, which takes up to 100 days.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our infrastructure provider, and access to your private data is controlled by security rules. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work to protect your information.
Eskrow is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Eskrow is operated using infrastructure that may process and store data in the United States and other countries. By using the app, you understand your information may be processed in locations with different data protection laws than your own.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
